Howard Gibson
Mechanical Designer
I am available for work.
I have over thirty five years experience working with scientists, electronics designers, software developers, manufacturing and sales, preparing designs and all documentation. I have been using SolidWorks since 2001, and AutoCAD prior to that. I have been formally trained in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to the ASME Y14.5 standard.

CAD
I have been using SolidWorks since 2001, and AutoCAD prior to that. I love learning new things on computers, so CREO and AutoDesk Inventor will not be a challenge for me. Also, I spent fifteenyears on a drafting board.
FAVORITE QUOTE
"Any idiot can prepare drawings of machined parts. Machining is accurate enough that your bad tolerances do not matter. When you do sheet metal and welding drawings, you had better know what you are doing."
RECENT PROJECT
At Teledyne Optech, I did the mechanical design for the Titan multi-spectral LiDAR. This has been in the news lately doing surveys on Mayan ruins in Guatemala.
